MYKOLAIV, JULY, 18th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – A sabre fencer of Mykolaiv Olga Kharlan became Champion of Europe, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 18 July at the press-service of Ukrainian National Olympic Committee.

Olga Kharlan, Olypic Champion of Beijing for the first time got her Gold in the individual tournament.

On her way to the victory she had to fight her Olympic team friends – Yelena Khomrova and Galina Pundik in the semi-final. The latter became Bronze winner of the contest.

In the final the fencer of Mykolaiv met Russian Yekaterina Dyachenko, whom Kharlan beat 15:10.
