ODESA, OCTOBER, 9th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Huaxia Shipyard, China, has launched the multipurpose vessel UCF-1 designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 8 October at the press-service of the Marine Engineering Bureau.

According to the press-service, this is a sea/river vessel for general, bulk, grain, wood and large cargoes.

Her deadweight is 5 thousand 185 tonnes having the draft of 4.2 m at sea, and the draft being 3.6 m in the river the deadweight is 3 thousand 900 tones.

Exploitation speed of the ship makes not less than 10 knots. Endurance is 20 days. The crew composes of 12 people.

INFORMATION: OJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau” was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau” works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
