ODESA, OCTOBER, 13th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine has established transit discounts in 5 ports of the Odesa Oblast, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 13 October at the press-service of the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine.

According to the information provided, starting 16 October 2009 at commercial sea ports of Ukraine there will be special transit discounts available provided by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine.

The discounts will be available at 9 Ukrainian commercial sea ports 5 of them being located in the Odesa Oblast.

In particular the discount for the transit of grains and seeds at the Illichivsk Commercial Sea Port will make 30 percent, pig iron – 30 percent, other metals – 30 percent, bulk sulphur – 40 percent; the same kind of discount for the transit of pig iron and other metals is available at the Odesa Commercial Sea Port.

At the Reni Commercial Sea Port the transit discount for grains and seeds will make 20.69 percent, packeted tare cargoes – 24.65 percent, iron ore – 25 percent, other black metals not in goods – 23.07 percent; on the line the Danube-the sea, the sea-the Danube (board-to-board variant) the discount for the transit of bulk grain and seeds will make 50 percent, as well as the discount for the transit of chemicals.

Sea port the Commercial Sea Port of Yuzhny will provide 30 percent discount for the transit of pig iron, 25 percent for iron ore, black metals not in goods – 30 percent, coal – 25 percent. The Ust-Duniask Merchant Port the discount for the transit of bulk grain and seeds makes 50 percent.
