KHERSON, NOVEMBER, 23rd, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Within a ten months’ period the Commercial Sea Port of Kherson has directed by 46 percent more funds at the renewal of its main funds than for the same period last year, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Press-secretary of the Port Miron Buba informed the agency about it today 23 November.

According to the information he provided, it goes about almost UAH 19 million, while last year this sum only counted to UAH 13 million.

“We have managed to do a lot. I believe this year is a breakthrough in purchasing equipment, and also in respect of the work at the general scheme of the port’s development. We have built a wonderful administrative building of the port’s vehicle park, we have also invested in reconstruction of the berth No 10. The boiler house has also been re-equipped. No it can be run both on gas and liquid fuel. The reconstruction of the Shabo Sand Pit’s power supply nets needed serious financial aid as well. We are transferring it to run on electricity which will significantly decrease the value of the goods”, CEO of the port Aleksander Yegorov stated.

In 2009 the port managed to purchase 6 loaders, a port tractor, grabs and dumpers.
