MYKOLAIV, NOVEMBER, 26th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Alexander Golodnitskyi, General Director, Delta-Pilot believes reduction of the canal dues by 15 percent at the ports will increase their turnover by 30 percent, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Alexander Golodnitskyi stated it yesterday 25 November at a press-conference.

According to him, both ship-owners and port officers were struggling for the reduction of the canal dues, as it reportedly could make the ports more attractive.

At the same time, he also said, this could impact on Delta-Pilot’s income. “We do not have any fears however on this account, as we hope to get more pilotages”, he said, adding “this in no way will influence the social packages of the personnel.”

The company is not going to refuse any of the planned updates either.
