MYKOLAIV, JANUARY, 6th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Wadan Yards Okean has launched another 2 barges for Nibulon Ltd, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it at the press-service of Nibulon Ltd.

According to the press-service, as of today the company has received 14 non-self-propelled vessels of sea-river type produced by Wadan Yards Okean. In total within the framework of this investment project amounting to USD 150 million the company intends to create their own fleet of 24 ships of this kind having total deadweight 108 thousand tons. The fleet is also to include 14 tugs.

At the festivities dedicated to the launch of the vessels General Director of Nibulon Ltd Aleksey Vadaturskiy informed, Wadan Yards Okean would not only be constructing the barges for the company but also unique tugs for servicing the agricultural fleet, and the necessary agreement had already been signed.

“Our company has put the aim to carry Ukrainian grain by Ukrainian vessels flagged Ukraine. And we are going to implement this task in 2010, in spite of the crisis. Everyone will know us and we will show how Ukrainian ship-building and agricultural sector should be restored”, he stressed.
