ODESA, JANUARY, 15th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The level cargo turnover at Odesa railway has gone 15.8 percent down in 2009 compared to 2008, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 15 January at the Ukrainian State Committee of Statistics.

According to their information, the level cargo turnover at Odesa railway has gone 15.8 percent down in 2009 compared to 2008.

In total in Ukraine the shipment of cargoes by railway in 2009 compared to 2008 decreased by 21.5 percent. The amount of shipped cargoes decreased by 19.4 percent in Ukraine, and by 33.2 percent in Odesa.

The also added, the amount of passengers carried by the railway transport in 2009 made 425.9 million people, 4.4 percent less than in 2008.
