MYKOLAIV, FEBRUARY, 20th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – GE Delta-Pilot has celebrated its 12th anniversary since the foundation day, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 20 February at the press-service of the company.

“The company’s 12 year history is a whole epoch. During the period the company managed: to establish the ship regulation system, above-water monitoring along the entire shore line, as well as reconstruction of sea channels, and the erection of the Bystroye Channel. The latest achievement is a significant decrease of the amount of accidents. The number of accidents at sea decreased by three times in 2009 compared to 2008, and five times compared to 2007”, Aleksandr Golodnitsky, director of the company said.

On the occasion of the company’s anniversary many employees were rewarded.

Among the guests who had come to congratulate the company were Mayor of Mykolaiv Vladimir Chaika, Vice Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Vladimir Pashchenko, and other important officials.

INFORMATION: GE Delta-pilot was founded under the order of the Ministry of transport of Ukraine dated 04.02.1998. Its aim is to improve conditions of navigation protection, human life protection at sea and the environment in the territorial sea of Ukraine and in concordance with the requirements of international agreements and conventions, streamlining of the structure of marine pilot services in the north-western part of the Black Sea. The company employs 1 thousand 200 people.
