MYKOLAIV, APRIL, 21st, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Three sportsmen of Mykolaiv have gat awards at European championships in April, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 21 April at the press-service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Thus, through April 7-11 European Karate Do Championship WUKF took place in Santarém, Portugal, 480 sportsmen of 19 countries took part in it. Aleksandra Yelanskaya of Mykolaiv was in the squad of Ukrainian National Team. She managed to defeat sportsmen of Italy, Hungary and Germany, becoming Champion of Europe.

European Youth Billiards Championship was taking place in Moscow on April 12-16. Valeria Vasilyeva of Mykolaiv got the bronze there.

Through April 17-18, in Thessaloniki, Greece there was European Sambo Championship for Youth, where Kirill Melnichenko won the gold in the category up to 68 kg.
