MYKOLAIV, MAY, 12th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Mykolaiv’s Black Sea Shipyard has completed the upgrade of a dry cargo vessel for Moonlight Riddle Inc., Panama, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 12 May at the press-service of the shipyard.

According to their information, they installed new fore-and-aft coamings of the cargo hatches, carried out augmentation of the existing transverse bulkheads and coamings, the height of the forecastle was also increased.

The ship underwent significant repairs: hull coating was replaced, as well as metal components of the boat deck, hydraulic system, electric engines, boat davits, ballast pipe-line and pilot house portholes were also repaired.

The upgrade project was developed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa.

The upgrade was meant to increase cargo-carrying capacity and durability of the hull.
