MYKOLAIV, JULY 5th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Russian navy delegation has arrived in Mykolaiv today 5 July to evaluate technical state of the cruiser Ukraine, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The agency was informed about it today at the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
According to them, Governor of Mykolaiv Oblast Mykola Kruglov has met Russian delegation represented by acting Chief of the Technical Department of the Navy of the Russian Federation Rear Admiral Viktor Bursuk and Chief of the International Affairs Department of the Navy of the Russian Federation Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Zharov.
The delegation will be staying in Mykolaiv till 7 July. Within this period they are to collect all the necessary information as to the technical state of the vessel, its principal parameters and the level of works that have been carried out. After that the delegation is to develop their plan of further cooperation concerning the construction of the ship and to provide them to administration of Russian Navy.
During the meeting Mr Kruglov said the matter with the cruiser Ukraine got under way after the new team presided by Viktor Yaukovich had come to power. “We clearly understand that any kind of development of the cruiser Ukraine would be impossible without Russian party”, the Governor said.
