MYKOLAIV, JULY 27th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Black Sea Shipyard of Mykolaiv has been contracted to build another container ship hull for Damen Shipyards Bergum, the Netherlands, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The agency has been informed about it today 27 July at the press service of Black Sea Shipyard.
In compliance with the contract, the vessel is to be delivered to the client in June 2011. The value of the order makes EUR 2 million 290 thousand. The weight of the hull will be 1 thousand tons. The shipyard will also carry out installation of hull structures, general systems, painting, isolation and plating of the rooms.
The ship’s purpose is to carry dry cargoes and containers. Her projected speed is 12. knots, maximum capacity – 193 TEU. The vessel’s length is 88.6 m, width – 12.5 m, depth – 7 m, deadweight – 3 thousand 800 tons, draft – 5.4 m. The parties also negotiated a possibility of building another two vessels at the shipyard.
