MYKOLAIV, OCTOBER 16th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Yesterday, 15 October, Mykolaiv Association of Koreans opened a Korean Cultural Centre at one of the city schools, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The agency has been informed about it today, 16 October, at the Department for Nationalities, Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
The purpose of the centre is to teach Korean culture, the language and traditions.
The guests of the opening ceremony were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine H.E. Mr Pak Ro Byok, deputy head of the Department for Nationalities, Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Mr V. Chebataryov, Deputy Mayor Mr R. Vdovichenko, Head of Mykolaiv Association of Koreans Mr L. Yun, and other highly distinguished guests.
Mr Pak Ro Byok presented a teacher of the Korean Language who has recently arrived from Korea to the school students. The children had a chance to ask Mr Pak Ro Byok questions and participate in the festive programme.
