ODESA, OCTOBER 18th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — In January—September 2010 water transport of Odesa region has shipped 2.7 million tons of cargoes, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The agency has been informed about it today, 18 October, at the Chief Administration of Statistics in Odesa Oblast.
According to the Administration, in January—September 2010, compared to the same period last year, the trade fleet has increased the number of shipments by 36.5%, in particular, foreign trips — by 43.2%. The overall amount of delivered cargoes equals to 2.7 million tons.
The volume of cargo operations in the fishing port, commercial ports and berths of the region has made 62 million 800 thousand tons thus going 8.2% down compared to the same period last year. The amount of operations with exported cargoes has decreased by 7.6%, transit — by 22.1%, domestic cargoes — by 50.2%.
The amount of operations with imported cargoes has grown 75.8% (8.2 million tons).
