MYKOLAIV, OCTOBER 21st, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Traffic officers of Mykolaiv have detained 11 Romanian citizens selling fake gold jewellery, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The traffic militia of Mykolaiv had been informed about a group of people carrying out criminal activities. All the patrol brigades were immediately informed, and some 30 minutes later three automobiles were arrested — a Mercedes, an Audi A4, and a BMW. 11 Romanian citizens were in the cars. They were going to Russia.

All of them were delivered to the militia station of Zhovtnevyi Raion, Mykolaiv Oblast. The officers found over 100 fake gold rings illegally produced, which they had been offering everyone on their way.

Investigation is underway.
