MYKOLAIV, OCTOBER 21st, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — As of today Nibulon continues transportation by water along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug rivers. Only since the beginning of the navigation season 2010, 700 thousand tons of grain were transported, while in 2009 freight transportation were less than 800 thousand tons, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 21 October, at the press service of the company.

According to their information, after the completion of implementation of investment project Nibulon plans to provide freight transportation up to 3 million tons, including freight transportation along the Southern Bug — 1 million tons.

In Nova Odesa there will be built and repaired road, street lighting, public transport stations, river berth for the passenger transportations.

According to Mykola Kruglov, Governor of Mykolaiv Oblast, Nibulon is a unique company, which employs people who understand that it is necessary to act systemically. They grow corn, construct elevators and fleet, promote domestic products on the world markets with the highest competition. There are no analogues of the company in CIS. Due to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, who started this investment project fleet of Nibulon will enable to revive navigation along the Dnipro River and the Southern Bug, unload the roads and improve the ecology in the region”.

Nibulon earned the trust and support of the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, export credit fund EKF (Denmark), Export Credit Agency “Atradius” (the Netherlands), the leading European banks, the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine and other banks due to its good image.

Patriotic innovative project includes 10 regions of Ukraine, has a great cross-sectoral and state importance, it is financially supported by the governments of other countries — thus deserves the national status! Everybody supports this opinion: from the national political establishment to foreign experts.

The important point for Nibulon is ecological compatibility and safety during construction of the facilities. During the construction of the terminal the company complies with all environmental safety standards in order to preserve the unique nature of the region. Advanced cleaning equipment will be installed at the complex, the dust-trapping aspiration systems will be installed. The equipment will meet all appropriate standards of environmental safety.

It is planned to conduct dredging works to enable the passage of dry-cargo ships to the berth of the new terminal. It is expected that dredging will have a positive effect on the environment of the region. Firstly, the company will harness the shore, sluice coastal strip – it will protect the coastal area from washing out. Secondly, around the clock vessel voyage along the Southern Bug River will become possible due to consistency of the work, and particularly installation of signal buoys. And thirdly, it is also a joy to local fishermen because dredging works will increase the spawning areas, and it will increase the volume of fish catch.

The residents of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka town (Zaporizhzhyaregion), Vitove village (Cherkasy region) have already felt such a positive effect. It is not the first month when residents of these settlements look at the sea caravans that are going to the branches for loading. On the 14th of October the first Nibulon’s non-self-propelled vessel was loaded in “Gradyz’k” branch (Poltava region) – it means that “fleet’s family” is extended! Soon Nova Odesa and Kremenchuk will join them; there the terminal construction was started on the 28th of September.

Nibulon has already signed a contract with the Kherson Maritime School and the Odessa National Maritime Academy to serve the fleet, and it is ready to provide more than 300 sailors with work. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy is sure that these sailors will be proud to say: “I work in Ukrainian company Nibulon and sail on the vessel flying Ukrainian flag and transport grain along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers.
