MYKOLAIV, OCTOBER 29th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Administration of Nibulon LTD has called on abstaining from political assessments because of the cessation of grain reception by the company, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 29 October, at the press service of the company.

“Our company is a part of Ukraine, we live and work here, we heavily invest in the economy. Together with Ukraine, we have experienced different situations related to the grain export — a complete ban, quotas, licensing. Nibulon works transparently and openly reporting on procurement prices of grain on its website. Therefore, in connection with the introduction of quotas for grain export, we have openly reported on our website that we stopped purchase and reception of grain, considering that elevator capacities are full to the overflowing. There are no other political or financial reasons of this solution. We hope that the issue of distribution of quotas will be objectively resolved as soon as possible” said the Hero of Ukraine, General Director of Nibulon Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.

The General Director of Nibulon also expressed his surprise and regret as to the fact that currently in some media, have published a number of materials in which journalists make a political assessment of the situation. “We should not speculate on the current situation, everything is extremely simple and logical, it is not policy-induced”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.

He also stressed that Nibulon respects the government moves to stabilize the situation in food markets. Moreover, in August this year, the company was among the first in Ukraine to sign treaties with Mykolayiv and Poltava Regional State Administrations on supply of grain for these regions at fixed prices that guarantees a stable and affordable cost of social kinds of bread. “It is our direct investment into food security of Ukraine. The governors of these regions Mykola Kruglov and Oleksandr Udovychenko have repeatedly noted the significance of our actions”, said the General Director of Nibulon.

In addition, Nibulon participates in tenders held by Goskomrezerv of Ukraine, and provides the state with grain lots. “Thereby Nibulon confirmed that we are serving the public interest and we will continue to act further in this direction”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.

“It’s really frustrating that publications with political assessments appear just after the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov objectively learnt and supported a large-scale investment program of Nibulon, that provides implementation of a patriotic idea to revive the navigation along the Dnipro, the Southern Bug and other rivers of Ukraine. After the Prime Minister himself took part in a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of two company’s tugs”, stressed Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.

“Such negative publications and assessments that are used by the media in its printing materials drive a wedge of confrontation and mistrust between the Cabinet of Ministers and our company that is the largest domestic investor, the agricultural producer and exporter. It affects implementation of our national program to revive the navigation along Ukrainian rivers. I would like to note that in this program we are creating tens of thousands of work places, constructing the latest, from a technological point of view, elevator complexes almost throughout the country and for the first time during Ukrainian independence we are creating our native fleet, that has already started to navigate along rivers and seas flying the Ukrainian flag”, — emphasized the General Director of Nibulon.

Oleksiy Vadaturskyy added that the investment project of Nibulon is supported and strongly encouraged in its implementation by the heads of several regions: Mykolayiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kruglov, Poltava Administration — Oleksandr Udovychenko, Zaporizhzhya Administration — Boris Petrov, Kyiv Administration — Anatoliy Prysyazhnyuk, Kherson Administration — Mykola Kostyuk. “We are grateful for this support to these and other regional leaders”, emphasized the General Director of Nibulon.

Such authoritative international financial institutions as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Export Credit Fund EKF (Denmark), Export Credit Agency «Atradius» (the Netherlands), as well as a number of leading European banks are directly involved in the project implementation.
