MYKOLAIV, OCTOBER 31st, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Today, 31 October, at 8:00 the elections of deputies to the regional, village, settlement, and city councils and mayors of towns and cities of Mykolaiv Oblast have started, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The overall amount of electoral districts in Mykolaiv is 45 (203 polling stations), and 48 districts in the Oblast.

36 parties are claiming to get multi-mandate constituency in Mykolaiv City Council and 28 parties — on the Regional Council.

635 candidates are claiming to get in the Regional Council and 344 — in the City Council.

9 candidates are claiming to get Mayor’s post.

The overall amount of people having the polling right is 375 thousand.

The voting is to finish at 22:00.
