MYKOLAIV, NOVEMBER 2nd, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Representatives of South-Korean investment fund visited Mykolaiv Oblast, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 2 November, at the press service of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

During their working visit the guests had an opportunity to familiarize with the investment potential of the region, the parties held talks on the cooperation prospects.

The participants of the meeting were Chief of the Foreign Economy Department, Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Mrs Tetiana Chikalyuk, Chief of the Analysis and Prediction Office, Agrarian Department, Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Mr Sergiy Rachkoskyi.

The Korean delegation showed interest in buying cultivated land and investing in agricultural sector.

In 2009, the share of goods and services export to South Korea made 0.1% (USD million). Export of grain to Korea made 58.3%, ferrous materials — 45.4%.

As of today, two joint Ukrainian-Korean companies are operating in Ukraine: E Crimea Mykolaiv LTD (growing grains and industrial crops), Dong Ku Ukraine Co LTD (operation of scrap metal and wastes).
