Ports of Mykolaiv and Ghent to sign a cooperation memorandum

MYKOLAIV, NOVEMBER 17th, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Mykolaiv Commercial Sea Port and Port of Ghent, Belgium, have agreed to sign a cooperation memorandum on November 23, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 17 November, at the press service of Mykolaiv Port.

According to their information, last week a delegation of Mykolaiv Port visited the Port of Ghent. The aim of the visit was to finalize the Cooperation Memorandum between the Port of Ghent and the Port of Mykolaiv. The document is to be signed within the scope of the visit of Prince Philippe, Duke of Brabant, Prince of Belgium to Ukraine on November 23.

According to the delegates of Mykolaiv port, their visit was constructive. The fact that Ukrainian flag was flown above the building of Ghent Port evidenced the serious intentions of Belgian party as to cooperation with Ukraine.

The document will become another step to integration of Ukrainian transport system to European transport network, the stressed at the port of Mykolaiv.
