ODESA, DECEMBER 17th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — In 11 months of 2010, Odesa Railway shipped 25.2 million tons of cargoes, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 17 December, at the Chief Administration for Statistics in Odesa Oblast.

According to their data, this amount of cargo is 21% bigger than over the same period in 2009.

There was a significant increase of transportation of the following groups of cargoes: coal (4.3 times increase), iron and manganese ore (1.6 times increase), oil and oil products (1.9 times), ferrous metals (38.5% increase), scrap ferrous metal (35.9% increase), chemical and mineral fertilizers (32.5% increase), cement (39.2% increase), wood (37.8%).

However the shipment of grain and regrinding went 20.5% down.
