KHERSON, JANUARY 10th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — EBRD assigned EUR 1 million for the development of a Kakhovka Power Plant Extension feasibility plan in order to increase its capacity by 220—250 megawatt, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 10 January, at the press office of PJSC Ukrhydroenergo.

According to their information, the feasibility plan is to be worked out by the end of 2011.

The company also informs, the facilities are more likely to be built on the right bank of the Dnipro River (as one of the most probable variants), meanwhile the existing station is located on the left bank.

As previously reported, the EBRD was holding talks over the development of a Kakhovka Power Plant Extension feasibility plan and planning to invest EUR 1 million in the project.
