MYKOLAIV, MAY 14th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Within the framework of the Day of Europe in Mykolaiv Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium to Ukraine HE Ms Yana Zikmundova has arrived in the city to see to the implementation of the Memorandum between the Port of Ghent and the Port of Mykolaiv, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The purpose Ms Yana Zikmundova’s visit to Mykolaiv Commercial Sea Port was to get acquainted with the port development projects, as well as discussion of future directions of foreign economic cooperation with the Belgian port of Mykolaiv transport companies. During a meeting with the port authorities manufacturing facilities, technical characteristics and advantages of the geographical location of the port were presented to the Ambassador.

“Investment projects of Mykolaiv port are interesting for potential investors, and for stevedoring companies, cooperating with the port of Ghent, therefore, I believe that the Memorandum of Cooperation will be of practical implementation in the near future, for its part, the Embassy will contribute to this as much as possible”, Ms Yana Zikmundova said.

Ms Zikmundova’s plans for the coming days are to take part in the celebrations of Europe Day.
