ODESA, MAY 27th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Darko Russo has been officially appointed in charge for BC Khimik, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The agency has been informed about it today 27 May at the press service of the club.
According to the press service, BC Khimik, Yuzhny, Ukraine, has officially signed the Serbian mentor Darko Russo.
BC Khimik’s Manager Oleksander Mayorov said the contract was signed with the coach for one season. Darko Russo is arriving in Yuzhny on May 31. Starting 1 June, the Serbian coach will start training the team. D. Russo started his career as head coach in 1995. Leading the Belgrade club Beobanka, Russo worked there for 5 years. In his future career D. Russo led such clubs as Partizan (Serbia), Gemofarm (Serbia), Buducnost (Montenegro), Apollo (Greece), Maroussi (Greece), Igokeya Partizan (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Iraklis (Greece).
INFORMATION: BC Khimik was founded in 2001 in Yuzhniy on the initiative of OJSC Odesa Port Plant. The club has lately been in the Top Four of Ukrainian basketball teams.
