MYKOLAIV, JUNE 1st, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — XVII International Conference of the Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums is being held in Mykolaiv, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today 1 June at the press service of Mykolaiv City Executive Committee.

According to the press service, the grand opening of the conference was held 31 May in the City Council. XVII International Conference of Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums is dedicated to the 110th Anniversary of the Mykolaiv Zoo, it will be held from May 31 to June 3. The conference will bring together 126 experts from 17 countries — the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and other.

The press service noted during the conference, the participants will be discussing prospects for the development of zoos and aquariums in Europe and Asia, exchanging experience and conducting reporting public meetings, as well as developing plans for further scientific and practical work.

Mykolaiv Zoo has been a member of the Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 1995.
