MYKOLAIV, AUGUST 2nd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ó A sabre fencer of Mykolaiv Olga Kharlan has been recognised the best sportsperson of Ukraine, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The agency has been informed about it today, 2 August, at the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
The press service noted the fencerís personal tutor Artem Skorokhod was named the best coach of the month. The decision was made at the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
They reminded that we have that leader of Ukrainian fencing won the gold medal in individual competition at the European Fencing Championship in Sheffield (UK) and also together with her teammates Olena Khomrova, Olga Zhovnir and Galina Pundik climbed to the second step of European podium in the team competition.
The press service reminded that for O. Kharlan it is the fifth recognition. Earlier, Olympic champion, world champion and European champion in sabre fencing was chosen the best athlete of Ukraine in August 2008, July and October 2009 and in November last year.
