100 female athletes from 18 countries to fight for Mykolaiv Boxing Cup 2011

MYKOLAIV, SEPTEMBER 8th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — 100 female athletes from 18 countries will be fighting for Mykolaiv Boxing Cup 2011, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Mykolaiv City Executive committee reported today, 8 September.

The press service noted that III International Women’s Boxing Tournament Mykolaiv Cup 2011 opened on September 6. The opening was attended by Mayor Volodymyr Chaika, and the CEO of Mykolaiv Aluminous Plant Yuri Ovchinnikov, and the technical delegate of the European Boxing Federation Derenik Gabrielian.

“Due to such events, our city is known by many people, not only in Ukraine but also other countries”, said the mayor in his speech.

Most of the costs as to organizing the championship were provided by Ukrainian Association of Boxing — about UAH 350 thousand. Mykolaiv’s expenses made UAH 70 thousand. The tournament is scheduled to the Day of the city.

Anyone can watch the fights in the sport complex Nadezhda /hope/ from 7 to 9 September from 16:00 to 19:00, the closing will take place on September 10, 10:00.
