ODESA, SEPTEMBER 9th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Tomorrow, 10 September, Odesa will be hosting an international two-mile road running competition, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Odesa City Council Administration for Information reported today, 9 September.
According to the Office, an international two-mile road running competition (3218 m) will start in Odesa tomorrow, 10 September, at 10:00.
The office noted, the 2-mile race Self-Transcendence is an international competition held in many countries by the same rules. They see their task in enabling the inhabitants of cities and different countries to take part in international competitions in their homeland.
The competition is open to all interested people of over 10 years of age, regardless of their athletic training. The participants are responsible for their health, parents are responsible for the health of their children.
Competitions are held on highways, not at stadiums. The distance — a mile in one direction and back along the same trail. Admission fee is UAH 5. The start is common for all age groups. If there is a large number of participants separate male and female races will possibly be conducted.
The expenses will be imposed on society, government and commercial organizations taking part in the competition.
