MYKOLAIV, SEPTEMBER 19th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Winemakers of Koblevo, Mykolaiv Region, and Beaujolais, France, strengthen collaboration, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The press service of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration informed today, 19 September.
According to the press service, about 100 representatives of the Ukrainian leading mass media visited the famous winery Koblevo in Mykolayiv region. 3 September, 2011, winemakers of Koblevo and Beaujolais solemnly united by bonds of fraternity.
The solemn ceremony was opened by the Governor of Mykolaiv region Mykola Kruglov, who emphasized on the success of the enterprise, the quality of its products and talked about his contribution to the development of the region. Director General, Association of Beaujolais winemakers Inter Beaujolais, Jean Bourjade, Executive Secretary of the Macro-Economic Sector of the French Embassy in Ukraine Adeline Durant, Chairman of the Board Koblevo Vera Kozlivska, Chairman of the Board, Radsad Vitaly Babynin and Director General of National Alcohol Traditions Roman Vashkolup.
Monuments, symbolizing the link between the French and Ukrainian Mecca of winemaking were inaugurated during the press conference. To mark the start of the professional and friendly relations between the two famous wine centres Jean Bourjade and Vera Kozlivska symbolically mixed two types of young wines produced in France and Ukraine in one glass.
“Beaujolais and Koblevo are united by a lot of things. First, both regions are popular in their countries being natural winemaking centres. Second, both Beaujolais and Koblevo specialize in the production of young (ordinary) wines. And, finally, it is very symbolic that Ukrainian Koblevo and French Beaujolais are located on the same latitude — the 46th parallel. I liked Koblevo wine — this divine mixture of generosity of nature and professionalism of the winemakers”, said General Director of the Association of Beaujolais winemakers Inter Beaujolais, Jean Bourjade.
