ODESA, SEPTEMBER 19th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — MFA Representative in Odesa Konstantin Rzhepishevskyi says excess of production capacity in Poland may be used in agricultural sphere in Odesa region, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The official said today, 19 September, after the official meeting of the Governor of Odesa Region Eduard Matviychuk with Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of Poland Dariusz Młotkiewicz.

“Secretary of State said that it is more a function of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but he said they would do their best at the Presidential Administration to develop economic relations with Ukraine. Today in Poland there is excess of capacity. And, despite the fact that there are a number of countries in Europe, where there is dense crisis, including Greece, Poland has remained a green island, not influenced by the crisis. Skilful management of the economy led to the fact that in Poland the situation is very stable. And today there is excess capacity. The governor suggested that these capacities may be involved in the Odessa region. This is, first and foremost, concerns the agro-industrial complex”, said K. Rzhepishevsky.
