ODESA, JANUARY 4th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Odesa Oil Refinery President of the Board Oleksiy Bibik says the plant is getting ready to launch, however no exact dates can be named so far, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The company official informed our correspondent today, commenting on the information that appeared in the media the plant was going to launch shortly.

“All I can say is we are getting ready… There have been plenty of rumours about our company, however we are moving forward slowly, we are trying. I cannot name any exact dates so far”, Mr Bibik said.

It previously reported, Odesa Oil Refinery Lukoil was going to start producing the first allotments of petrol 29 February, 2012.

INFORMATION: Odesa Oil Refinery was put into operation in 1937 as a cracking plant. In 2000 it was renamed to OJSC Lukoil Odesa Oil Refinery. 97 % of the shares are held by Lukoil – a Russian oil company. After a long reconstruction the plant’s operation was resumed on 18 April 2008. As the result of its reconstruction its processing depth was increased from 56 % to 80 %, while its production capacity remained 2,8 million tons per year.
