ODESA, FEBRUARY 9th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Olesia Malashenko of Odesa has managed to get on the top four of the best young basketball players of Europe, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to their information, 19-year-old Belgian Emma Meesseman of Lotto Young Cats is on top of the rating. The athlete of Odesa origin, protecting the colours of the Russian Club Vologda-Chevakata ranked fourth. Almost 5000 fans and 130 experts voted for her, which gave a result of 0.08367 points of accumulated rating.
INFORMATION: Olesia Malashenko is a Ukrainian basketball player, international class master of sports. A student of Odesa Sport School for Young People No 2, she started practising basketball at the age of 13. After several years she spent in the White acacia, she moved to Europe, playing for Dexia in Belgium, and later in the French championship for Arras. At the same time, Malashenko defended the honour of Ukraine’s national teams in various age groups. In the summer 2011, after participating in the Eurobasket U-20, she moved from France to the Russian Club Vologda-Chevakata.
