ODESA, FEBRUARY 14th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Container alliance G6 includes Odesa Port in their deep-sea service on the Black Sea, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Odesa port informed today, 14 February, referring to its own sources.

According to the press service, the Alliance of Container Lines G6 announced the rotation of the total deep-sea service to the Black Sea. This new service will start from the first week of April.

Rotation: Ningbo — Shanghai — South China — Hong Kong — Singapore — Port Said — Ashdod — Istanbul — Constanta — Odesa — Istanbul — Ashdod — Port Said — Singapore — Ningbo. The number and capacity of vessels is not specified.

The Alliance including APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine, MOL, Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and OOCL plans to launch nine joint services between Asia and Europe / Mediterranean. Six of them will work with the first week of March, earlier than originally planned.

INFORMATION: Geographical rotation is a charterparty term regarding the regular sequence of the geographical positions of the ports of loading and discharging. If an option is given to the charterers to load or discharge a ship in more than one port within a range of ports, it is important to state that if they exercise the option the ship will proceed to the ports in geographical rotation (without, for example, going north and south and then again north). This is important to the owner to determine the distance, time and fuel expenses.
