ODESA, MARCH 3rd, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Ukraine HE Mr Chuah Teong Ban says more favourable conditions for investors required in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The envoy stated yesterday, 2 March, during a press conference in Odesa.

“Odesa Region needs to create more favourable conditions for investors to reduce risk, higher income, and then it will work as a strategy for victory for both sides. On account of the cooperation agreement — this is a very good idea and I support it”, said the Ambassador.

As previously reported, Vice Governor of Odesa Region Petro Khlytsov held an official meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Ukraine HE Mr Chuah Teong Ban.

The envoy informed that the purpose of his visit was to understand what Odesa and Odesa region were, what their potential was, what its marine potential was like, and how powerful the port was, as well as the role of the Odesa region in Ukraine as a whole. He said, “Odesa is very important to Malaysia because Odesa is the sea gate, through which Malaysian products can enter the territory of Ukraine, CIS countries and part of the territory of Russia.”
