MYKOLAIV, MARCH 12th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Chinese experts suggest Mykolaiv heating plant be upgraded to run on coal, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Mykolaiv City Executive Committee informed today, 12 March.

According to the press service, the issue was discussed March 7 at the meeting of Mayor Volodymyr Chaika and the Mykolaiv CHP Director General Anatoly Manchenko with Chinese experts concerning energy-saving technologies.

Director General of the international engineering company CCTEG (China Coal Engineering and Technology Corporation) Gi Yangru, chairman of the HuayuyInstitute CCTEG Ren Fangling, Head of Clean Energy Institute CCTEG Zhang Pu suggested Mykolaiv CHP should be upgraded to run on coal instead of gas.

The International Engineering Company CCTEG is a state technological company that has operated in the Chinese market for more than 60 years. Chinese experts have offered their know-how thanks to which any type of coal, ground to dust and mixed with water can be used.

The mayor asked about the cost of the project, but the negotiators were not able to announce it, it is made up of many components. Mayor Chaika expressed his willingness to support the project.
