MYKOLAIV, MAY 3rd, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Mykolaiv Mayor Volodymyr Chaika has held a meeting with Consul General of China to Odesa Mrs Wu Xiaoying, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Mykolaiv City Council informed today, 3 May.

According to the press service, at a meeting which took place 27 April the parties discussed the expansion of business cooperation between China and Ukraine, establishment of cultural ties, etc.

“After all, there is a long distance between Ukraine and China, and that the government should help the business circles of both countries to meet and find mutually beneficial partners. Therefore, we propose an exchange of entrepreneurs”, said the envoy.

Also, the Chinese Consul intends to make every effort to strengthen business ties between Dezhou and Mykolaiv. Mrs Xiaoying is fan of Ukrainian folk culture and for Chinese people to be able to touch the Ukrainian beauty, she is planning to organize a tour of Ukrainian groups in China.

Mrs Xiaoying has also noted that she, being a consul, always finds it easy and pleasant to talk with Mayor Chaika, because the City Mayor briskly responds to new proposals, supports initiatives and is always open for cooperation.

Summing up the meeting, Mayor Chaika instructed the Department of Foreign Trade and International Cooperation of the City Council to give Mrs Xiaoying the whole package of documents as to creation of the Industrial Park in Mykolaiv. And the Consul assured that they will consider the operational source data and provide their business proposals.
