ODESA, MAY 21st, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The bronze winner of the XXIX Summer Olympics in Beijing, oarsman from Odesa, Yuriy Cheban has won a bronze medal during the first stage of the world cup in Poland, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Mr Cheban informed the agency today, 21 May, during a telephone conversation.
According to Yuriy Cheban, in 200 m single canoe, he won a bronze medal. Andrey Kraytor of Azerbaijan won the first place, the second went to Ivan Shtil from Russia.
Yuriy added, another two stages of the World Cup will soon take place: May 25—27 in Duisburg, Germany, June 1—3 in Moscow, Russia.
