ODESA, JUNE 19th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― First international basketball tournament The Waves of the Danube to be held in Izmail 22―24 June, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of BC Khimik informed today, 19 June.

According to the press-service, four teams of sixteen young people from four countries ― Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Serbia will gather at the first international tournament Waves of the Danube in Izmail.

Ukraine will be represented in the tournament by BC Khimik.

The tournament is held under the auspices of the Basketball Federation of Odesa Region and the Basketball Federation of Izmail.

“Within the three days’ period, from 22 to 24 June, the Izmail sports complex Portovik will be hosting the basketball tournament, and in their leisure time, the guests and participants of the tournament will have a chance of familiarising with the history of the region, go on tours, see the protected corners of Ukrainian Danube”, the press service informed.

INFORMATION: BC Khimik is a Ukrainian professional basketball club based in Yuzhny, Ukraine. The club plays in the Ukrainian Basketball Super League. In the year 2006, the club reached the final of the EuroCup Challenge, where Khimik was defeated by Ural Great Perm.
