ODESA, SEPTEMBER 21st, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Athletes of Odesa in the Ukrainian national team have won the bronze at the Synchronized Swimming World Championships, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Department for Sports, Odesa Regional State Administration, reported today, 21 September.
According to the Office, 12―16 September 2012 the city of Volos (Greece) hosted the XIII World Championships in synchronized swimming for young people. Ukrainian national team, which included athletes of the Odesa region Tetiana Roniker, Anna Yesipova, Oleksandr Filonenko and Vera Golubova, participated In the competition.
According to the results of the competition in the exercise group, the team took the third place, in the combination group ― the second place, losing only to the Russian team, which is a perennial leader in the sport.
20 September, the officials of the Office of Physical Education and Sports, Regional State Administration together with the Regional Federation of Synchronized Swimming had the red carpet with the athletes.
