Monument to Steve Jobs opens in Odesa

ODESA, OCTOBER 5th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The monument to the Apple company founder Steve Jobs has been opened in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The monument was set up near the hostel of Odesa State Academy of Technical Regulation and Quality at 74/76 Novoselskogo Str.

The sculpture 2 meters height in the form of the open palm shown the Apple logo in the middle is made by sculptor Kirill Maksymenko. Sculpture’s weight is about 330 kilogrammes.

The monument is made of various components: gears, bolts, pistons etc.

“For me, Steve Jobs is a revolutionary in the IT-technology world, I equate him to Einstein, Tesla...”, Kirill Maksymenko noted.

INFORMATION: Steven Paul Jobs was an American business magnate and inventor. He is the co-founder of Apple and served as its chief executive officer from 1998 to 2011, when he announced his resignation due to health problems. He passed away on October 5, 2011.
