MYKOLAIV, OCTOBER 10th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The International Atomic Energy Agency’s local network of observation has been installed on the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant’s press service reported today, 10 October.

According to the press service, the main advantage of the updated observing system is it will allow providing online the information about the movements of nuclear fuel directly to the IAEA’s headquarters in Vienna in the near future. Up till now inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency had taken the hard disks with videos every quarter.

In accordance with international standards, the staff of nuclear power plants does not have access to the equipment of the IAEA. The main task of enterprises is to ensure the safety and permanent power supplying in places where agency’s observing system is located. So it prevents any possibility of changing the recorded data.

Ratified the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons, Ukraine engaged only peaceful using of nuclear materials.
