ODESA, OCTOBER 23rd, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Preparing for New Year celebrations has started in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Information Office reported today, 23 October.

The Organizing Committee for the New Year celebration will renew festive illuminations on Primorskiy Boulevard, set up the unusual main Christmas tree and Christmas décor of Snake, symbol 2013. Officially New Year celebrations will start on 15 December.

“According to the existing traditions of Odesa, the main focus will be dedicated on the New Year celebration at the Dumskaya Square. Next few weeks the basis of cultural and festive programmes will be fully formed. All negotiations with the performers who will participate in the New Year's Eve at the Dumskaya Square are kept in the confidence”, the vice-mayor of Odesa on Humanitarian Affairs Elena Pavlova noted.
