ODESA, NOVEMBER 28th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Consul General of Turkey to Odesa Huseyin Ergani has noted Turkey intends to bring trade turnover with Ukraine to USD 40 billion by 2020, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Huseyin Ergani stated yesterday, 27 November, during a press conference at IA Context-Prichernomorie.
“Today the trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey is USD 6.5 billion, and we have set the goal to bring this trade volume to USD 20 billion by 2015, and in 2020 to a level of USD 40 billion”, the Consul noted.
“Turkey invested a lot of money in the development of the tourism sector. Day-to-day the income from the tourism sector is increasing in Turkey. The visiting of Turkey increased by 9.8% and reached the index 31 million 400 thousand people in 2011. By September 2012, the figure was 21 million 765 thousand tourists, which is 0.29% more than in the same period of 2011. We achieved it not easily”, he added.
