ODESA, DECEMBER 8th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Volleyball club Khimik, Yuzhny, has beaten VC Ghent, Belgium, in the first match of 1/16 European Women’s Volleyball Championship 2013, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of VC Khimik reported today, 8 December.

According to the press service, the match took place 6 November in Yuzhny. The match ended with the score 3:0 in favour of the Yuzhny team.

“Khimik confidently beat Challenge Cup semi-finalists 2012. But only half the work is done. Now it is necessary we win in Belgium on 12 December, in order to avoid the lottery of the “golden set”, the press service noted.

INFORMATION: A golden set is a single game played to 15 to decide a match. It's the fifth set of best of 5 matches that is tied 2-2 in indoor volleyball.
