ODESA, JANUARY 18th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The Day of Judaism has been celebrated in Odesa for the first time in Ukraine, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Press secretary for the Jewish community in Odesa Berl Kapulkin reported today.

According to him, Christians celebrated the Day of Judaism 17 January, 2013 in Ukraine for the first time. The venue is Odesa as a city in which the third largest Jewish community in the world (after New York and Warsaw) has lived in the beginning of the XX century, and where the Jewish community continues to play an important role today.
