ODESA, JANUARY 31st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The officers of the Southern Customs have seized Soviet medals from a citizen of Greece which he transported without proper permits, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Southern Customs reported today, 31 January.

According to the press service, on the checkpoint “Renee – Giurgiuleşti” during a joint border-customs inspection, three military medals of the former Soviet Union: the medal «For Courage» and two medals «For heroic work» were found in the suitcase of the citizen of Greece made his way from home to Ukraine.

He did not record them in the customs declaration and had not any permits for moving objects which may be historical and cultural value.

These actions are signs of customs regulations violation under Art. 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
