Native of Odesa composer Oscar Feltsman died in Moscow

ODESA, FEBRUARY 4th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The oldest Russian composer Oscar Feltsman died at the age of 91 years in Moscow on Sunday, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

A series of Russian media published today, 4 February.

3 February some Russian media reported about Oscar Feltsman’s death with reference, in particular, to Iosif Kobzon. According to the information, Mr Feltsman last night was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Central Clinical Hospital named after Semashko. Doctors fought for his life, however, they were unable to save the composer. Feltsman died of acute heart failure. The composer's widow stated that Feltsman alive and he is in intensive care in Moscow Central Clinical Hospital in critical condition due to impaired circulation. But ITAR-TASS and RIA “News” confirmed the death of the composer. According to the radio station “Echo of Moscow”, the composer died on 3 February. And his wife found out about his death only the next day.
