MYKOLAIV, FEBRUARY 4th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― 4 Syrian flamingos have been delivered to Mykolaiv zoo, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the zoo reported today, 4 February.

The press service reminded, the customs detained five flamingos without proper documents at the Odesa airport in July, 2013. Owner suspected of smuggling.

“Terrified flamingos were arrested in a stuffy airport restroom without water, one bird died. The four survivors were quickly transferred for safekeeping to Odesa zoo... There were several trials and finally on Thursday the birds got to their new home”, the press service noted.
