ODESA, FEBRUARY 20th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has awarded People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Sergiy Kivalov with Pushkin’s medal, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the President of Russian Federation reported yesterday, 19 February.

By Decree of President of Russian Federation №101 from February 9, 2013 “On awarding foreign nationals by state awards of the Russian Federation” for “outstanding contribution to preservation and popularization of Russian language and culture abroad” People’s Deputy of Ukraine, President of National University “Odesa Law Academy” Sergiy Kivalov was awarded with Pushkin’s Medal.

INFORMATION: Pushkin`s award is presented to Russian and foreign citizens for services in the spheres of culture and art, enlightenment, humanitarian sciences and literature, contribution to studying and preservation of cultural heritage, rapprochement and mutual enrichment of the cultures of nations and ethnic groups, for creation of highly-artistic images.
