ODESA, APRIL 11th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Representatives of union committees of 40 universities from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia have participated in the conference “Functioning of union committees and social organizations at universities” in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Odesa National Mechnikov University reported today, 11 April.

According to the press service, the conference was held for four days. Throughout the forum leaders discussed issues of cooperation government student organizations and administration, motivation and activity in the public authorities of unions, voluntary movements, the development prospects of the union movement. In the framework of the forum the trainings on prevention of negative phenomena in the youth community, financial and economic strategies to ensure higher education were held.

“The strengthening of the social dialogue, mutual understanding between the students and the university administration is the most important task of all those involved in higher education. Only in close cooperation with the unions, we can reach a new level of educational services,” said the rector of ONU Igor Koval.
